Dr. Pa N. Vue

Pa N. Vue is the child of Hmong refugees and came to the U.S. when she was five years old. She has over a decade of experience working with high school and college students. She earned a Phd in Education from University of California, Berkeley with a Designated Emphasis in Indigenous Language Revitalization. Her passion is in researching Hmong language reclamation, literacy practices, and knowledge production. She works toward engaging the Hmong community in creating new and fun ways to use Hmong language. To this end, she has immersed herself in Hmong language through kev hu plig, paj huam, children’s books, and novel-length books—all part of an effort to bring about a Hmong language resurgence.
